Dr. Tolga Dursun received his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Middle East Technical University (METU) in 1996. He received his M.Sc. degree with a thesis on correlations of ultrasonic sound attenuation and velocity with yield strength, fracture toughness and Young’s modulus in 1999 and his Ph.D. degree with a thesis on the failure analysis of bolted laminated composite plates in 2006 from Mechanical Engineering department of Gazi University. He has been working on R&D projects at defense industry for 25 years. His main research areas are mechanical behaviour of composite materials, dynamic behaviour of materials, finite element method, gun dynamics and mechanical vibrations.
